Born in Tokyo. Lived in USA in 20s'. Moved to Hong Kong in 30's and worked as an operation manager of an Italian brand house. Then moved to Italy and started intensive fashion activites there. In her creation, there are not only international activities but also various experiences such as jewelry design, styling, makeup and cooking which she had in younger times, then became good ingredients and resources for her creations.

Now, there are over 85 boutiques all over the world. Izumi also involves actively and extensively in extending businesses such as jewelry design, watches, shoes, leg wear and more that sum up to 10 categories' licencing businesses.
